Town musicians of Bremen is a joyful, little “noise machine” led by Massimo Sposaro (guitars, Aergyn, Samurai of Prog) and Mario Bianchi (keyboards, ex Ezra Winston).

My friend Massimo and I wanted to write an instrumental piece with a pastoral feel and a strong emphasis on melody and chord changes, in the vein of early Genesis.
We began working around a lovely chord sequence of Massimo's 12 string. Soon musical ideas began to travel frantically between Rome and Milan.
I composed the flute and oboe melodies over Massimo's chords and then added two other musical sections.
Having enough material for our pastoral piece,
we found the third section to be a bit "rockier" than the rest... (...and this explains the question mark jokingly added to the title)
The songwriting process was joyful and easy.
Recording the track was another story altogether.
Invaluable help came from the ethereal flute and the kindness of Daniela Rizzo (a Milan Conservatory graduate) and the soulful bass and precious musical advices of Marco Croci (of Maxophone fame), who brought in Filippo Dolfini, to form the appropriate rhythm section needed.
Last, but not least, our sound engineer Roberto Kriscak, with infinite patience, helped fix the unavoidable bugs and placed the whole performance in the right order. He also gifted us with a brilliant keyboard solo in the middle of the track.
This has been a work of heart and musical passion. We hope that you, the listener, will enjoy listening to the piece as much as we had fun creating it!
